Ducks blast Hiller, Flames 6-1 in Game 1 (Yahoo Sports)

Corey Perry had two goals and two assists and the Anaheim Ducks routed the Calgary Flames 6-1 on Thursday night in Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinal series. Buccaneers select Jameis Winston with top pick in NFL draft (Yahoo Sports)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are counting on Jameis Winston to help them become relevant again. The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback was selected with the first overall pick in the NFL draft on Thursday night, instantly becoming the face of a franchise that missed the playoffs the past seven seasons and hasn't won a postseason game since the club's Super Bowl run in 2002. The Tennessee Titans have selected Oregon's Marcus Mariota with the No. 2 draft pick overall, hoping their third try at landing a franchise quarterback in the past decade is the charm.
