From two minutes away from elimination to two wins away from the Eastern Conference Finals, the Presidents' Trophy winners are still very much alive in their second-round tilt with the Washington Capitals. Following a dramatic comeback win, the New York Rangers will look to again fend off the Capitals in Sunday night's Game 6, but must do so without home support as the series shifts back to Washington's Verizon Center. New York was 1:41 away from a Game 5 defeat on Friday before Chris Kreider got the equalizer with a one-timer from the top of the circle. Captain Ryan McDonagh then beat Braden Holtby midway through overtime for a rousing 2-1 victory.
