Ryan Callahan back in lineup 5 days after appendectomy (Yahoo Sports)

Five days after having an emergency appendectomy, Tampa Bay forward Ryan Callahan is in the lineup for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference final against the New York Rangers. Callahan skated with the team in the pregame warmups at Madison Square Garden on Saturday. He was released from the hospital Tuesday, hours before the Lightning beat the Canadiens to advance to the conference final. Former Rangers forward Brian Boyle was scratched from the Tampa Bay lineup with an unspecified injury.
